Sooooo, a near miracle happened to me today...my little C3 actually took a nap this afternoon on my watch! She naps no problem EVERY time she hangs out with the grandparents. EVERYTIME! Apparently she'll even sleep more than 3 hours if they didn't wake her up. Now that I'm home and have her regularly...she NEVER naps in the afternoon for me. If she slows down at all its for about 15-20 mins while she cuddles her little "soft shirt" and then she's raring to go! Today she actually took a nap with little coaxing and she slept for about 2 and half hours!! The only problem was that I fell asleep as well so I didn't get anything done that I had hoped to. *sigh*. Oh well. At least she slept and now she's sleeping every so soundly (hope I didn't just jinx it!). Not at all like the last few nights...but that's another story.
I'm here to share with you another card I made using Paper Smooch stamps and inspired by the photo over on this week's Paper Smooch Sparks Challenge Blog.
image stamps and sentiment: Paper Smooches, embossing folder: Darice, inks: Distress Inks, Happy diecut: Simon Says Stamp, Dew drops: Robin's Nest |
Here is the inspiration photo:
The first thing I thought of was Distress inks. All the cool colours blending together and their reaction with water to make water spots when you "spritz and flick" them. That's exactly what I did. I took several colours and blended them all on a piece of card stock and then "spritz and flicked" it with water to get the water spots and dried the sheet with a heat tool. Then I stamped the sheep and paper pieced them onto the card and used the other pieces for the banners and the border strip near the bottom of the card and to die cut the word "Happy".
I would also like to submit this to the following blogs:
